In a bit more than one month the fifth edition of Le Web Paris will take place (Paris, 9 & 10 December 2009). Le Web is probably the biggest and most important European conference regarding all that’s related to the Web and this year the main theme is “Real-Time Web”.
Le Web was created in 2005 by Loïc and Geraldine Le Meur and has been growing through the years to the expected 1,800+ attendees this year. Loïc leverages on his powerful Silicon Valley network to attract top-of-the-line speakers and web-stars like: Gary Vaynerchuk (Wine Library TV and recent author of Crush it!), Jack Dorsey (Twitter), Chad Hurley (YouTube), Marissa Mayer (Google), Gina Bianchini (Ning) and Joi Ito (Creative Commons). For the complete list of more that 50 speakers click here.
Though last year many attendees complained about several organizational issues (like catering and room temperature), these don’t affect the networking possibilities that Le Web has to offer, which are obviously top notch, especially for European affairs (most attendees are from Europe) but also with the web celebrities (mostly) from the USA. The organizers also promised to improve the what didn’t work last year
If you still haven’t bough your ticket for Le Web, well you should hurry up because it’s often packed and sold out! If you’re part of the PICNIC network you can have a 10% discount on the regular ticket fee. Drop me a line (email or twitter) to get the promo code.
