@Matteo: thanks, I just updated the hashtag

@Gaspar: the content was interesting and varied for me (this is good), just not on the TED wavelength.

@Folletto: I agree that the selection of content was good and share your impressions.

thanks all for reading & commenting

Uhm. Sannella and Lumer? Sannella seemed giving advices, while Lumer shown an analysis. Ciucciarelli instead explained why infoviz is important.
Those speeches are of course based on projects, but from my point of view they didn't explain the project itself.

However I agree: passion is a critical point. We talked a lot about it on our way back home. And that's good: they were all passionate people. One of the most important values. :)

I for one twittered with the #TED hash, as #TEDxComoLake was too long to write on my cellphone :)
Let me disagree a little about your main point: there were inspiring work-in-progress projecs on stage, especially Sannella, Lumer and Ciuccarelli. But all had the most important ingredient: passion for their work.
Then, of course, there is only one Gustavo Dudamel in the world.

I missed a lot the work-in-progress too. The speeches were very interesting, but after those I just wanted to go deeper in some themes, and nothing more. The effect of "I'm launching something, let's talk about it or let's do something" was missing.

However, I was impressed since before the event I wasn't sure that they could choose speakers that could interest me, but they did. They still chose a form of excellence, and that's good. Maybe they should just rethink the kind of excellence (young, world changing, ...). ;)
