For the last 5/8 years, the tech scene in London has been flourishing, with the Silicon Roundabout becoming the main hub for startups and other young companies. Oddly enough, the biggest tech events have been taking place somewhere else in Europe, with Le Web in Paris and The Dublin Web Summit (in Dublin of course) being two of the most important ones. Now these same companies and others are coming to London to capitalize on the startup boom.
Le Web has just announced that the newly created summer edition of the conference will take place in the British capital on June 19-20, 2012. Similarly, the team of the Dublin Web Summit, leaded by Paddy Cosgrave, has decided to join forces with Mike Butcher‘s GeeknRolla to host the first London Web Summit on March 19th, 2012.
Already in October 2011, the local edition of Wired Magazine had launched the Wired Conference (review of the 2011 edition) and has announced that the second edition will take place on October 25-26, 2012.
Apart of these 3 big players, London is always brimming with hundres of small to medium events for all tastes. You can find more London events on Lanyrd.
